Janette has been a Certified Diabetes Educator for 15 years.
She was Nominated for Diabetes Educator of the Year for the State of Utah, and she is a National Winner for the “Making a Difference” award through the American Diabetes Association.
Currently, she is the Camp Director for Diabetes Clubhouse for Preschoolers with Diabetes.
Janette is the author of 2 books on Diabetes:
Mastering Your Diabetes Before Diabetes Masters You, published by the American Diabetes Association...
and her other popular book,

Janette is very passionate about the work she does with Diabetic patients- and is committed to helping them to be healthy and happy- in spite of living with a chronic illness.

Janette has type 1 Diabetes, and has lived with it for most of her life...
