DiabetesPowerShow Special guests Joyce Malaskovitz and Margaret Riedl. Joyce is a registered nurse, certified diabetes educator, and the Director of Diabetes Treatment Center at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has been at the Center for 14 years, and is responsible for overseeing both the in-patient diabetes management program, and the out-patient education program. The out-patient program has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association for the past 15 years. Margaret is a registered dietician and a certified diabetes educator at the Diabetes Treatment Center at Desert Springs Hospital. She has been at the Center for 15 years, and coordinates the out-patient education program. Currently, she is a program reviewer for the American Association of Diabetes Educators, has held numerous leadership positions for the Nevada Educational Associates for Diabetes and the Southern Nevada Dietetic Association.
